AMMA Newsletter - July 2026

Dear Members & Allies,

AMMA enters July with real momentum as our nation celebrates 250 years.

We are expecting major trade decisions. The Section 232 and Section 301 matters remain pending, and their outcomes will help shape how seriously the United States addresses unfair competition, forced labor concerns, and medical supply chain security.

In addition, CMS’s CY 2027 OPPS and ASC proposed rule will be an official Medicare payment update. CMS has asked for more input on how Medicare should support hospitals that buy American‑made PPE, essential medicines, and other critical supplies.

AMMA members now have a clear, time‑limited opportunity to directly shape that policy through comments due August 31. We will keep members closely informed and will share specific, actionable guidance on submitting comments in the coming weeks.

July is a key advocacy window. Congress is working through a busy stretch before lawmakers leave for the August recess and the fall election season. This makes the coming weeks especially important for keeping domestic manufacturing priorities front and center, and your continued support is vital.

That urgency was reflected in AMMA’s successful June Washington fly-in, where members met with congressional offices and administration officials to make the case directly for stronger support of U.S.-made PPE and medical products. Those conversations helped reinforce AMMA’s central message. America cannot rely on fragile foreign supply chains for essential medical goods, and we are ready to meet domestic needs.

We welcome our new AMMA member, USA MedPro, and encourage you to spread the word to your vendors and suppliers to join our effort.

Thank you,

Eric
