What We Do

Five strategic objectives

We work with HHS, DHS, Commerce, State, VA, DoD, CBP, USTR, the White House, and manufacturing champions on Capitol Hill to pursue:

1. Modernized Federal Acquisition

Working collaboratively with agencies to implement smart, long-term purchasing strategies that maximize statutory "Buy American" requirements.

2. Sustainable Demand Forecasting

Establishing stable, strategic purchasing cycles that move away from reactive buying and allow domestic manufacturers to scale efficiently.

3. Fair Market Policies

Championing a regulatory and tax environment that allows American companies to compete globally on their own merits.

4. Aggressive Trade Compliance

Holding foreign actors accountable for dumping and overcapacity and closing loopholes that undercut U.S. makers.

5. Strategic Value Awareness

Educating policymakers on the immense ROI of treating domestic medical manufacturing as critical national security infrastructure.

Why Buy Domestic

Over 90% of medical gloves are made overseas

Decades of globalization left the U.S. dependent on a handful of foreign suppliers — many leveraging government subsidies, trade loopholes, and exploitative labor practices to undercut American manufacturers.

Supporting domestic production means a secure, reliable supply chain; consistent quality; ethical, fair labor; and American jobs. When the next disruption comes, a robust U.S. manufacturing sector will be ready.

Our Impact

A supply chain consistent with American values

AMMA protects the health and security of Americans by promoting a public health supply chain that is ethical, equitable, and resilient against disruptions — anchored in domestic manufacturing for both raw materials and finished goods.

That means strong environmental and labor standards, safeguards against forced labor and corruption, and an innovative industry that creates jobs and prosperity for Americans.
